S.P.A.C.E. After Party at Kafe Kerouac Readers List
This Saturday night at 8pm, Kafe Kerouac (2250 N. High Street) and Nix Comics will host the annual Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo (S.P,A,C,E,) afterparty, featuring comics and zine readings from a bunch of great artists! Here's the list! Andrew Goldfarb: Andrew Goldfarb hails from San Francisco and draws macabre comix about gruesome globs, weird beards and freaky feet. He’s been producing the underground strip Ogner Stump’s One Thousand Sorrows since the 1990’s, and plans to do so until he finishes his thousandth cartoon at the age of one hundred years and then goes over Niagara Falls in a barrel. In the meantime, he also paints on black velvet and performs music as the one man surrealistic rock and roll band The Slow Poisoner. http://www.ognerstump.com/ Instagram
Carlos Rivera: Carlos Rivera was born after the sexual revolution and grew up during the AIDS epidemic of the 80’s. This pisses him off cause he was never really able to explore sexuality the way he really wanted to. Just kidding. He purchased condoms and was a slut during the 90’s. Maybe this is why he never had the comic book career he always dreamed of. These days he does Stand up comedy, theater, runs 2 festivals, has recently stopped being afraid of telling people he is an atheist and is one of a handful of liberal cops in Ohio. Yes, you heard that right, the state gave him a gun.
