The eighth of my series of OUBAPO comics with the following constraints:
I must draw the entire comic within the space of time I spend listening to one record. (Sides A & B)
I must draw each individual panel within the space of a single song.
I must draw with a cheap black pen. No pencil or erasing.
The record has to be one that I haven't listened to "in a while."
I can't use the lyrical content of the record in the text of my comic.
I must use the half sheets left over from printing shipping labels.
The Spaniels: Great Googley Moo
Page 1: This is the first of these comics where I'm kinda happy with the final story. It turned on me a couple times while writing, but I liked where it went.
Page 2: As the story developed and got a little complex in my head, I had less time to add my horrible cross hatches to make the story look dark. ('Sokay... it ended up dark enough!)
Page 3: A brief and incomplete list of things that are hard to draw quickly (for me) a chest of drawers with shit on it. A skull with a jagged hole in the top and an unlit candle.
Page 4: Last track on side two is the doo wop standard "Good Night Sweetheart," a song which I always found a little creepy for some reason. Happy Halloween!
